What can I expect from a show?

When you visit a drag show with Cabaret Moulin, you can expect a night where love is in the air and the comic timing is always brilliant. You will see very flirty costumes that are created in all the colors of the rainbow. Mix this with imaginative make-up that enchants and confuses, because that's what a drag show is, an evening where most genders change sides, if only for one night.

What is drag show?

If you look up drag shows on Wikipedia , it says "Drag shows are a form of entertainment where people perform dressed up as the opposite sex or play on the contradictions in the division of Western culture into two sexes". In pure Swedish, we would like to say that it is a way of life and a way to perform with glitter and glamour. To take on the role of a glamorous icon for an evening or two and receive the sound of applause on stage. It is a feeling and it is difficult to explain - but once you stand there, all the pieces will fall into place and you will be filled with just "that feeling".

The inspiration

Cabaret Moulin is inspired by traditional drag shows a la Las Vegas combined with lots of parody and humor as well as the American drag show culture. The show has a blissful mix of makeup , costumes , wigs , shoes . A performance can be anything from "Karen" from the supermarket to a world-famous artist on the other side of the globe.
